The past 3 days were catching up with all of us, so we were a little draggy this morning. With it being so cold the day before and the fact that Molly didn't think she needed to wear her coat all day, she woke up with a little cough and runny nose. We were tired, but still excited about our day at the Animal Kingdom. We ended up meeting, catching the bus, and arriving at the park around 11 am. We had heard from lots of people that you really only needed about a half day at the Animal Kingdom because it's very similar to a zoo. We didn't really know what to expect and were kind of thinking that we would end up doing a few things and maybe heading back to another park. Well, we got started and we ended up having more fun that we thought we were going to have. There were great shows, fun rides and activities.
We entered the park and headed towards our first activity which was a 3D show called "It's Tough to be a Bug." I looked back to check on Molly in her stroller and this is what I found.
She was passed out cold! Grady was also sleeping peacefully in his little area of the stroller, so Adrian decided to take one for the team and sit out the show so the kids could get some rest. I'm sad he missed it because it ended up being my favorite 3D show of the trip. It was really cute, the special effects were fun and interactive. At one point during the show, it feels like there are bugs crawling underneath where you are sitting. Molly wasn't a big fan of the 3D shows, so many of the effects included blasts of air in your face, water being squirted at you, and so on... So it ended up being a good thing that she wasn't in there for this one, I think it may have scared her a little.

If you look closely at the trunk you can see all kinds of animals, bugs, etc... It's Tough to be a Bug was also in the the trunk of the tree.
After the show we headed over to Dino Land. It was really neat. It was set up like a little carnival in the middle of of little dinosaur town. There were lots of kids rides and games that the little ones enjoyed.
While the little ones played Drew, Adrian, Poppy, and myself took William on a big kid ride called Dinosaur, it was an exciting one! Then we headed over to Yak & Yeti for lunch. They had Asian food and we all said that it was the tastiest meal of the trip, mmmmm.
After lunch, we went to see Finding Nemo, it was a broadway show and was amazing. I was having so much fun that I didn't get any pics :(.... Grady and Sam also threw a kink into things when they both blew out their diapers, but that's another story!
Here's Drew and I in front of Mt. Everest, there was a roller coaster ride on the mountain that was pretty fun. The adults all took shifts watching the little ones so that we could ride it.
Then we headed over to Africa to explore and ride the Kilimanjaro Safari ride. We all loaded up in open air jeeps and headed out. We saw all kinds of African animals including lions, zebras, giraffes, elephants, and many more. It was really neat because there wasn't a fence so you really felt like you were up close and personal with the animals.
Then we caught the Jingle Jungle Mickey and Friends parade.

After the parade we had a few minutes to spare before our last show. We were back over in Dino Land and guess who showed up? Goofy! Molly loves Goofy and and can even sound like him, she says "Gwarsh!" all of the time :). This was going to be our first meet and greet with a character so I was a little nervous given our past experiences with Santa. But guess what... she did amazing! She walked right up and gave him a hug and took a picture with him. So fun :)
To end our day we headed over to watch "The Lion King." It was also amazing! Grady liked watching all of the lights and animals.
Guess what?? Molly got to be apart of the show. I'm thinking that Disney World made her a little braver, because if she would get out to walk around the stage holding a man's had that has a painted face and is 4 times taller than her don't you think she will take a picture with Santa? Probably not, but one can wish. Anyway, we were all very proud of her and she looked so cute during her broadway debut!
We closed down the park and headed back for bath time and bed. We were excited about another day at the Magic Kingdom tomorrow and our Character breakfast with Mickey! Stay tuned...!
