under the sea...

Last week we took our first full fledged family vacation! We packed our bags and headed down to Marco Island, Florida. We had quite an adventure and an even more wonderful time. Adrian and I had been planning this trip for just the two of us since January. We were originally set to go in April - right around the time that my Papa became ill. Because of that we decided to cancel. We then rescheduled for early June and then the fire happened in Wewoka, ahhhhh! We thought it was off again because there was no way that we were going to drop our 2 year old sweetie off with my parents for a week while they dealt with that mess. Well, instead of canceling we decided to get Molly a plane ticket and take her along - and in the long run it all worked out. Not to say we wouldn't have loved to lounge in a beach chair, listen to our ipods, and read - but it was more fun to build sand castles, splash in the pool, and take naps in the room :) We went from calling it a "relaxing vacation" to a "memory making trip!"
