Camp Cross Point

Over Mother's Day weekend, our family headed down to Camp Cross Point to enjoy a weekend of camping with our family and friends from church.  This would have been our second year to attend and Molly was more than excited!  The night before we were scheduled to head out Grady started to run a temperature, boo!!  He didn't have any other symptoms, but his fever was super high - 104.7 at one point.  We woke up the next morning and headed to the doc and it had come down!  His ears were good and he tested negative for strep.  So we headed home for a nap and crossed our fingers that he would wake up good as new.  He did.... or so we thought!  We ended up packing the car and heading down to camp.  We got about an hour from the house and he started to look puny again.  I took his temp and to our surprised it had spiked waaaaay high again :(.  So we drove through Braum's to get dinner and headed home.
Molly was very sad to say the least, but chocolate ice cream always makes things better!
The next morning, Adrian and Molly got up and left the house around 5:30 to make it down in time for breakfast!  He's such a good daddy!  Grady and I stayed behind and did a lot of snuggling, resting, and laundry.  :)  I got quite a few pictures from friends over the weekend keeping me up to date on what Mo and her daddy were up to!

Molly tells me just about everyday that she got to ride in the front seat with daddy "with NO SEATBELT!"  as they drove around the campgrounds!

All of the kids, what a great group!!
This is pretty much how G looked the entire time they were gone.  Poor guy was so sick - still not sure what he had, probably a nasty virus.  His fever finally broke on Monday morning.  Thank goodness!
Even though G and I missed out on the fun at camp, we had a nice quiet weekend at home and Molly and her daddy had some quality time together.  They enjoyed time at the beach, naps in the cabin, a bonfire with s'mores and singing, a walk to the cross, and lots of meals with friends.  Adrian fixed up their cabin cozy as could be and did a fantastic job taking care of his girl {with the help of friends, ha!}.  Poor guy was even on scorpion patrol all night after he found two babies in their bathroom!  It ended up being a nice weekend filled with memories that we will always remember!
